Be aware that there are two types of Titan procedure machines:

Our clinics XEO w/ TITAN™ runs on 220 volts, the less expensive Titan Solera runs on 110 volts.
The XEO w/ TITAN™ comes with the Genesis Skin Rejuvenation System, which Dr. Leiker often does with many of his Skin Tightening Procedures.
Dr. Leiker has found that the two procedures together can often provide a superior end result for the skin.
Now we also have LUX DEEP IR Fractional Skin Tightening for larger surface areas or a second "DUAL" or even "triple" tightening method.

The Titan/LUX IR procedure causes collagen to contract and thus tighten the skin. The Genesis procedure reaches into the dermis to stimulate new collagen formation and target the microvasculature. In our own clinical patients, Dr. Leiker has seen the Genesis and skin tightening combinations often reduce laxity, and some fine lines and wrinkles. Further, XEO w/ TITAN™ can perform “three dimensional skin rejuvenation.”

Dr. Leiker feels it is best, for the patient's safety, to have a physician perform the skin tightening procedure to receive optimum results. Many offices use technicians or nurses.

Doctor's Opinion: Laser XEO Genesis Skin Rejuvenation can be very effective when compared to many other collagen systems and lasers that cause no downtime skin rejuvenation and stimulates your own collagen in the dermis to lessen lines and wrinkles, eliminate redness and vessels, make pore size smaller, can soften and improve scar tissue, and create a smoother skin with a more radiant glow. The Laser Genesis system is FDA-approved for the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.

Patients starting even at a very young age can benefit from skin rejuvenation. We have treated people in their teens and early 20's to improve texture, discolorations, and help acne scars. Young and middle aged adults can benefit from lasers that stimulate collagen. Many things in the environment or in are everyday activities are harmful to our skin.

Adults who smoke and or have sun damaged skin (actinic disease or changes) are encouraged to start treatments early to slow down and retard the process of aging. We have seen and many other doctors and patients have seen how tobacco use and sun damage can add 10 or even 15 years of age to the face/skin. These hazards seem to speed up the aging process. Tobacco smoke and toxins destroy the matrix collagen and we can see the effects of reduced oxygenation to the skin cells.

The Laser XEO Genesis system (or Lux 1540 fractional laser) stimulates your own collagen production and improves collagen remodeling to lessen wrinkles and fine lines and often show a reduction in pore size. Often we will see redness, scar tissue, and other signs of aging improve as these types of lasers including fractional lasers are used on the skin.

Many like the ease of the treatment of the Genesis laser with almost no pain and no down-time except for an hour of redness (i.e., Genesis laser), and they can return to work or other activities immediately.
